Malhotra WeiKFiELD Foundation application procedure.

The Pure Sciences Scholarship Programme was launched by Malhotra Weikfield Foundation (MWF) in the year 2007 in order to promote the study of pure and basic Sciences, which are extremely important for the advancement and growth of the nation.

The Programme provides full scholarships to 20-25 students per year for Under Graduate (BSc) for students of high merit, especially from the rural areas of Maharashtra, who lack the financial ability to carry on studies in these fields. In view of the socio-cultural context, where financially challenged families neglect higher education of girl students, the Malhotra Weikfield Foundation Scholarship programme gives a strong preference to female students wishing to pursue higher studies in Pure Sciences.

As merit is an important criteria of selection, MWF has instituted an Online Test to evaluate the scientific knowledge and aptitude of the candidates in an objective manner, apart from the marks obtained by the students in their last examinations. The selection tests are divided into two categories viz PCB (Physics, Chemistry,Biology) and PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Maths) and consists of 10 questions in each subject, selected at random from a large question bank by the computer.

The entire selection test is carried out online in an allotted period of 30 mins, with 3 mins provided to review the answers by the candidate. The marks achieved in the Online Selection Test form the basis of selection for a personal interview, at which the students are finally selected for receiving the MWF scholarships.
